(duno how i could have missed those sprees cuz im online everyday!! and i only chanced upon the sprees after they closed!)..sorry lil Desiree..mummy buy for u next time okie)

Preggie days~

Suddenly miss my preggie days when Desiree is still in my tumtum..kicking and pushing me...days when i can easily fall asleep and the days when i dun feel cold in aircon room...

was looking at the video and realised how i much i missed my big tummy hehee...can u see desiree kicking me?? oh..i miss quinne too..sigh

Desiree is 1 wk old! Mummy, Daddy, Ah Gong & Ah Ma brought me to the PD yesterday and doc says my jaundice level is quite controlled, and my heartbeat is ok too.... also put on 300g since discharged on Thurs.. ! Was 2.855kg at birth, 2.840 when discharged and 3.14kg yesterday..finally above 3kg...

Mummy says I am rather petite compared to those who were born prematurely!..(she read in forum some of the premmies were like near 4kg at birth! average also 3.3-3.5kg...but i think petite is beautiful hehehee...)

Started on my massage yesterday..the feeling of the binder on my tummy was unbearable during the first 1-2hrs until I almost feel like giving up...feel so suffocated...eventually i endured the whole nite and only removed it the next morning...edwin says my tummy looks less flabby now..ha..the massage lady (Sharon) says my tummy isnt very big so will be quite easy to regain my pre-preggy size...but the whole point of engaging the service is to make sure the uterus is back to it's original position...slimming is secondary..

I've lost 7kg since birth, another 1 kg yesterday after massage..hopefully can regain my pre-preg weight soon...!!

Received Yati's sms this morning that she has given birth to her bb gal this morning too!! she's 2 wks early but her labor was short lor...she said she went to labor ward at 4am and delivered 2 hrs later...so lucky...another march baby... =)

杺 itself is a neutral character cuz after letting the shifu calculate based on her date/time of birth, he says she 缺 the element 木 so thus this character.

Birth Story

16th Mar 1215pm
NO signs of labor...went for scheduled check up at Dr Fong's clinic..felt exceptionally nervous cuz duno what's gonna happen... Dr said can afford to be overdue for another wk if everything's ok
NO dilation. BB's heartbeat normal. Amniotic fluid LOW. oh no...Dr Fong said he has to induce birth now since water level is low and asked me to admit at 3-4pm...oh no...i was having mixed feelings then...wanna see desiree soon but also v scared abt having to induce birth cuz heard too many stories abt unsucc induction which ended up in emergency Csect

Dr explained how induction works.. 1st a tablet will be given to help dilate the cervix. He will decide whether a 2nd tablet to be given or not after 6hrs from the 1st tablet. If 2nd tablet is required, to wait another 6hrs to chk on dilation. If insufficient dilation, has to wait another 24hrs for 3rd tablet to be given..if nothin happens...will go for E Csect.

330pm-10pm
Reached Mt A and was immediately sent to the delivery ward, changed and given a tablet to start inducing birth. DIdnt dare to do anything except wait....had mild contractions which showed up on the CTG machine. tried to walk around cuz nurse said will help cervix to dilate...as time passed, the pressure on my adomen was so bad i could hardly walk nor stand...decided to just lie down on bed and watch TV...nurse came again at nite and gave me something to empty bowel...waited till 10pm, nurse checked and told me cervix v high, no dilation..and asked me to go and sleep! (i nearly fainted)..asked nurse if 2nd tablet is needed, she said Dr said no need cuz even though there's no dilation but the contractions are quite regular

contractions were regular but still bearable

10pm-11pm
Watched tv with PapaYap...nurse came in and asked us to go zzzz
so we switched off TV and tried to sleep...

17th Mar 12am
Felt a sudden sharp pain on my lower adomen and could feel somethng like a bubble bursting at the cervix area...felt something warm leaking...quickly woke PapaYap up and realised it was blood...quickly called for nurse. Nurse came...and told me not to worry (!!!) and still asked me to go and zzz

12am-0200am
Pain was getting intense...told nurse and was given laughing gas to ease the pain BUT it was not helping AT ALL....grabbed PapaYap's hands, bed railing, pillows and was breathing hard on the laughing gas...was crying each time the contraction came...Nurse checked and 3cm dilated...asked if i need epidural..i said Yes...! cuz i dun think i could handle the pain anymore...it was a very scary experience...sigh..was crying and shivering so badly when the epidural jab was injected...the effect of epi kicked in abt 5-10mins later and i felt numb from my lower adomen downwards...

0230-0630
Tried to sleep but didnt manage to do so cuz was very bothered by what's gonna happen next
Nurses came and checked on dilation. It was 8-9cm by 0630.

0630-0740
Nurses came and said im ready to PUSH...so i tried pushing and pushing each time there was a contraction..It was very DIFFICULT cuz i really couldnt feel anything and was anyhow 'pushing' Dr Fong came...i grabbed PapaYap's hand tightly and everyone started "PUSHING" tog with me..finally with the help of a vacuum, lil Desiree is out at 0732hrs..

Still here!

Yes..after staying home for 1 wk, Bb Desiree is still in my tumtum.. Dr says gotta induce next wk if there's still no signs of labor after 17th March...sigh...so scared...
Have been trying to pyscho bb to come out cuz her kicks are getting more vigorous tat i have to hug my poor tummy to sleep...(apparently she practices her kicks when it's mummy's bedtime...muz be daddy's fault...shall not watch him play streetfighter anymore!)....but guess my tummy is really too comfy for her thats why she refuses to come out...
haven been doing anything except reading, surfing net & zzzing these few days...so BORED..sigh..

9 more days to EDD

Finally on leave =D and 9 more days to my EDD. Still not much signs of labor...duno when the lil one wants to pop...seems like she's getting very comfy in mummy's tummy...i just hope she wun be too big for me...
Will it be this week? Just hope it wun be on Fri 13th! *fingers crossed*
